Bhasini – Type in 22 Indian Languages (with Claude MCP)
Bhasini is a free, ad-free online editor for every scheduled language of India — Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, Maithili, Santali, Kashmiri, Nepali, Sindhi, Konkani, Dogri, Manipuri, Bodo and Sanskrit. Users type phonetically or with InScript, convert between scripts, use voice typing and save as Word, with everything running in the browser. A Windows app adds a Global mode that types any Indian language in Word, WhatsApp and every other application with F9. Bhasini MCP Server: the same transliteration engine is available to AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol. Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code), ChatGPT, OpenAI Codex, VS Code and Cursor connect to the hosted server at https://mcp.bhasini.com/mcp with no account or API key, or run it locally via the Bhasini.Mcp .NET package. Its tools are transliterate (romanised text to native script, e.g. vaNakkam → வணக்கம்), convert_script (one Indian script to another), get_keymap (phonetic keyboard maps), native_digits (2026 → २०२६) and list_languages.
